PEACHTREE CITY, Ga.  – Based on popular demand, Piedmont Fayette Hospital’s Walk With a Doc program, which began in the spring, returns to Drake Field and will continue monthly through November. All members of the community are invited to join us to walk and talk with a Piedmont doctor.

The next walk, led by physicians and midwives from Southern Crescent Women’s Healthcare, will take place on Saturday, Sept. 20, 8:30 to 9:30 a.m., Drake Field at City Hall, 155 Willowbend Road, Peachtree City.

“Walk with a Doc has been a very successful program,” said Debbie Britt, executive director, community and public relations at Piedmont Fayette Hospital. “We’ve had very positive feedback from participants who have enjoyed talking to the doctors about general health topics while taking an early morning stroll.”

During the event, the doctor will take a few minutes to talk about a health topic and participants can ask questions for the remainder of the session (approximately 40 minutes). Registration is required. Participants will receive a t-shirt and a pedometer.

To register visit piedmont.org/walkwithadoc or call 877-527-3712 (toll free). Please arrive by 8:15 a.m. – the walk will begin promptly at 8:30 a.m.
