PEACHTREE CITY, Ga. -- Peachtree City's 10th annual WWII Heritage Days will be held later this month at Falcon Field.
Ewoud Swaak, Honorary Consel to the Netherlands for Georgia and South Carolina, will be a keynote speaker at the event, which features period aircraft and vehicles, educational displays, reenactments and family-friendly demonstrations.
This year's program will commemorate a September 1944 battle that saw 40,000 Allied paratroopers try to shorten the war by liberating a series of cities and bridges in Holland.
WWII Heritage Days will be held Saturday, Apr. 26 and Sunday, Apr. 27 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. There is a suggested $5 donation to get in; children ages 5 and under are free.
Tickets to a Keep 'em Flying Dinner and Dance at Falcon Field are $50 before Apr. 22 and $60 at the door. Call 678-654-2464 to reserve a seat.
