FAYETTE COUNTY, Ga. -- Fayette County Sheriff's investigators recently arrested two young people in separate incidents of trying to sell marijuana to undercover officers.
On Jan. 11, David Lopez was arrested at the Home Depot in Peachtree City for selling the drug to police. The 21-year-old Newnan man was charged with selling marijuana.
Nineteen-year-old Tremaine Williams of Riverdale was arrested Jan. 14 at the Citgo gas station on Highway 138 near the border of Clayton and Fayette counties. Fayette County Sheriff's Det. Josh Shelton said Williams tried to run when he discovered he was selling marijuana to cops, but was caught. He was charged with obstruction and selling marijuana.
