2 stores robbed over the weekend

PEACHTREE CITY, Ga. -- Two Peachtree City businesses were robbed at gunpoint over the weekend.

The first robbery happened at around 9:45 p.m. Saturday at the Flash Floods convenience store on the corner of Crosstown Drive and Joel Cowan Parkway.

Peachtree City Police Lt. Mark Brown said the suspect, who had a gun, entered the store and demanded money. He drove off on a motorcycle after receiving cash.

Several customers were in the store at the time. They described the suspect as a white man, about 6 feet tall and 200 to 230 pounds, with fair skin and light-colored eyes. He was wearing baggy blue jeans, a black motorcycle jacket and a black or dark blue motorcycle helmet.

The second incident happened at around 8:15 p.m. Sunday at Pitts Stop on Petrol Point near McIntosh High School.

Brown said the second robbery was similar to the first one -- the suspect entered the store, demanded money from the clerk and ran after receiving cash.

The suspect is described as a white man, 6 feet tall, with a medium build and scruffy facial hair. He was wearing blue jeans and a long-sleeved shirt.

Police have not said whether they believe the two robberies are related.
