Person of interest sought after telling kids to 'get in his car'

PEACHTREE CITY, Ga. -- Peachtree City Police are looking for a man who reportedly tried to convince two children to get in his car.

The kids told police that they were waiting for their school bus at the corner of Wynnmeade Parkway and Tower Road Thursday morning when a man pulled up beside them and said to "get in the car." The children ignored him and the man drove away.

The suspect drove through the area again Friday morning, but did not say anything, according to the kids.

They described him as an older white man with brown hair and glasses. He drives a white and orange "job-type truck" with lettering on the side, according to the two children.

Anyone who can identify this person or sees a car matching the description given by the witnesses is asked to call 911 or Peachtree City Police at 770-487-8866, especially if the suspect is seen in the vicinity of a school bus stop.
