Gardenfest festivities will include discounts on merchandise throughout the store, as well as free appetizers and wine samplings. Five percent of the event's proceeds will be donated to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta.

The event will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

This seminar will include step-by-step instructions to teach how to plant and care for home-grown edibles, which edible plants thrive in the Southeast and how to incorporate these plants into your landscape. Plus, attendees will learn about Pike Nurseries’ newest collection of berries, the Brazelberry Collection, which can be grown in small spaces or even in pots.

From 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, Mar. 22, Pike customers can enjoy store-wide discounts on plants, gardening accessories, patio furniture and more. Williamson Brothers Bar-B-Q will provide complimentary food, and guests will have the opportunity to win discounts and a free landscape design. The first 100 customers will also receive a free reusable tote.

ATLANTA -- Pike Nurseries is holding a free class to help homeowners learn ways to draw birds to their backyards.

According to Pike Nurseries, roughly 350 species of birds live in Georgia. The birding class will teach participants the types of seed that are best for attracting birds, the three essentials needed to draw birds and how to provide for birds during the cold winter months.

ATLANTA -- Let Pike Nurseries help you add some fall décor to your home.

This weekend, all Atlanta-area Pike locations will host a make-and-take pumpkin planter seminar. The class will teach participants how to create a perfect autumn centerpiece using pumpkins, soil and a variety of plants.

The seminar will be held from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 20. The cost is $30 per person, which includes a pumpkin planter to take home.

Pick your plot in the PTC Community Garden

PEACHTREE CITY, Ga. -- Planting season is here! Celebrate the arrival of fall by renting a plot in the Peachtree City Community Garden.

The garden is located on Kelly Drive and will host a plot picking party for budding and seasoned gardeners alike on Saturday, Oct. 20.

Anyone who has registered and paid a membership fee for the garden by Oct. 20 will win a plot in a lottery drawing. The cost is $100 for an 8x10 plot or $150 for an 8x20 plot; prices are good for a full year of gardening.
