Peachtree City homeowners protest indoor water park | News
PEACHTREE CITY, Ga. -- Homeowners in Peachtree City are rallying against a plan to build an indoor water park resort.
Great Wolf Lodge wants to redevelop a 38-acre tract of land that backs into a residential neighborhood to build the hotel and several restaurants.
Supporters say it will bring jobs and much needed tax revenue. Opponents say it will reduce their property values and cause traffic, water and noise pollution.
The planning commission voted unanimously against the rezoning request. The city council will make the final decision tonight, after giving both sides one hour to speak.
