PTC Pedestrians Free to Roam, on Both Sides

PTC Pedestrians Free to Roam, on Both Sides

PEACHTREE CITY – Last week, the Peachtree City Updates newsletter listed an article about “path safety” which generated questions about where pedestrians should walk – on the right or the left side.

Peachtree City’s ordinance doesn’t specify, so either side is correct. However, walking on the left side is recommended, especially for those who many use headphone or on the busier paths to ensure pedestrians can see carts or cyclists approaching.

No matter which side you walk on, please remain alert to the other path users coming from both directions so everyone stays safe.
