7 Fayette schools earn grants from Kroger

FAYETTEVILLE, Ga. -- Seven Fayette County elementary and middle schools have earned grants for their educational programs from Kroger's Atlanta Division.

The grants were given through the grocery chain's Earning Plus Learning program.

Crabapple Lane Elementary is the latest school to receive funds. Kroger gave the Peachtree City school $1,800 for its scrapbook detailing the ways students tried to "Go for the Gold" during the last school year.

"Thank you to the Kroger Corporation for sponsoring the 'Earning Plus Learning' program and providing support to our education system," Crabapple Lane Elementary principal Doe Evans said in a statement.

Other Fayette County schools to benefit from Earning Plus Learning include J.C. Booth Middle, Braelinn Elementary, Sara Harp Minter Elementary, North Fayette Elementary, Peachtree City Elementary and Peeples Elementary.
