With an economy like ours, it’s imperative that people look for a bargain wherever they can and public pools offer fun with that’s easy on the pockets. Check out these local pools and enjoy a classic, cost-effective, exciting summertime experience.

Public pools in Clayton County open on June 1. All pools charge a usage fee of $3 for Clayton County residents or $20 for a monthly pass.

In today’s economy, it’s important to find companionship which, in our opinion, is the cheapest form of entertainment. However, it’s the springtime, and people like to get out every now and then. So, check out these suggestions for fun under $15.

If you had a rough week, take your date to Range, Guns and Safes to blow off some steam. Every Wednesday, this range, located in Forest Park, costs $10 for the first hour of target practice for male/female couples. Subsequent hours are $12 each.

Cancer Wellness 5K Walk at Picnic Park

Peachtree City, Ga. – On Saturday, April 9, the Fayette Chamber will host their Cancer Wellness 5K Walk.

The walk starts at 9:00 a.m. at Picnic Park. Picnic Park is located at 151 Willowbend Road in Peachtree City.

All proceeds benefit the new Piedmont Fayette Hospital Cancer Wellness Program. The race costs $10 for youth and $20 for adults.

March for Meals: 1 Mile/5K and Festival

March for Meals: 1 Mile/5K and Festival

PEACHTREE CITY, Ga. – On Saturday, March 19th, Fayetteville will host the March for Meals: 1 Mile/5K Walk/Run & Festival.

Registration for this event starts at 8:30AM and the actual race / walk will start at 9:30AM.  This is the third annual walk/run to benefit Fayette’s Meals on Wheels program. This event will start and end at Fayette Senior Services Life Enrichment Center which is located at 4 Center Drive in Fayetteville. 

Registration for race participants is $30 ($35 after March 5) and includes lunch and a bag filled with gifts and discount coupons donated by local businesses. Spectators may purchase lunch on race day for just $5. On-site race day registration available.
