The Avenue Peachtree City raises $10,000 for students
PEACHTREE CITY, Ga. -- The Avenue Peachtree City is doing its part to help students in the community.
The shopping center and one of its stores, White House | Black Market, have raised both money and school supplies for CARE (Children at Risk in Education).
CARE is a program that provides scholarships and school supplies to Fayette County students in need. It is part of the Fayette County Public School System.
White House | Black Market solicited $5 donations from customers for school supplies. In exchange, shoppers received a discount on their purchases.
"Our customers are so wonderful and supportive. Many of them gave more than $5 just because they wanted to help us purchase as many school supplies for the students as possible," store manager Jacky Vaughan said in a statement.
