PEACHTREE CITY, Ga. -- High school juniors and seniors who are interested in joining sororities are invited to attend a free information session in Peachtree City this weekend.

The Atlanta Southern Crescent Alumnae Panhellenic Association (ASCAPA) will host the talk on Sunday, May 18 at 1 p.m. Jill Moore, the director of Greek life at Auburn University, will be the guest speaker.

Teens who are serious about rushing sororities when they get to college, as well as those who simply want more information about Greek life are welcome to attend. Topics to be covered include what to expect during rush, how to choose the best sorority and some of the benefits of sorority membership.

This weekend's session will be held at the Phi Mu Fraternity National Headquarters, which is located at 400 Westpark Drive. Visit ascapa.org for more information.

Several roads to close for triathlon

PEACHTREE CITY, Ga. -- The Peachtree International and Supersprint Triathlon will be held this Saturday, May 17 in Peachtree City.

This year, the swim has moved from Lake Peachtree to the new Lake McIntosh. Because of this, the race route has changed from last year's event.

Participants will travel from Lake McIntosh to Dividend Drive. From there, they will cover McIntosh Trail, Robinson Road, Spear Road, Paschal Road and head back to Dividend.

Drivers should expect considerable delays in those areas from 6:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. About 25 police and sheriff's officers will be on hand to control traffic.

Divas Half Marathon coming to Peachtree City

PEACHTREE CITY, Ga. -- A popular women's half marathon will stop in metro Atlanta this fall, bringing boas, tiaras and lots of "divas" to the area.

The Divas Half Marathon and 5K will be held Saturday, Sept. 6 at Shakerag Knoll in Peachtree City.

The race is designed to celebrate women and encourage them to complete -- and enjoy -- a race. Its course winds along Peachtree City's beautiful streets and multi-use paths, all leading up to a finish line extravaganza with roses, champagne and even a concert by rock star Bret Michaels.

Runners will receive tiaras and feather boas during the race, and medals and fitted tech shirts once they are done.

Half marathon registration is $90 through June 15, $100 between June 16 and Sept. 3, and $120 on race weekend. Registration for the 5K is $50 through June 15, $65 between June 16 and Sept. 3, and $75 at the pre-race expo.

PEACHTREE CITY, Ga. -- There's still time to sign up for the upcoming Peachtree City Marathon Relay.

The race will be held Saturday, June 7 at Drake Field. Registration closes Friday, May 30.

In a marathon relay, four people get together to form a team. Each team member runs a 10K (or 6.2-mile) leg. Teams are assigned based on the speed and skill level of each participant, with the goal of having every team complete the race at roughly the same time.

Best of all -- thanks to the generosity of several sponsors, including the Peachtree City Running Club and Tri-PTC, runners can participate for free!

(WXIA) -- Several Southern states were slammed by severe weather earlier this week, including Lincoln County, Tenn., which experienced a devastating tornado.

Those who want to contribute to the community's rebuilding fund can now do so, simply by eating at Chili's.

On Sunday, May 4, more than 60 Chili's restaurants in Georgia and Tennessee will contribute 10 percent of the day's earnings to the Lincoln County Disaster Relief Fund.

Chili's diners can also make monetary donations by adding extra money to their check totals.

It's a Blueberry Bonanza weekend at Pike Nurseries

(WXIA) -- The arrival of summer also marks the start of blueberry season, and Pike Nurseries is ready to celebrate.

This weekend, all Pike locations will host Blueberry Bonanza to get customers excited about summertime foods and the change in seasons.

The first 100 customers at each store on Saturday, May 3 will receive free "Tophat" Blueberry Plants, which can be grown in a garden or pot.

Easter egg hunt rescheduled for Saturday

PEACHTREE CITY, Ga. -- Due to the rain over Easter weekend, the Peachtree City Fire Department's 2014 Easter Egg Hunt has been rescheduled for this weekend.

The hunt will now be held Saturday, Apr. 26 from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Shakerag Knoll. Registration opens at 9:30 a.m.

Attending children will enjoy an egg hunt, visits with the Easter Bunny and other family-friendly activities. The event is for kids ages 2 to 11. Participants are asked to bring their own Easter baskets.

Shakerag Knoll is located at 191 McIntosh Trail.
