America's Got Talent taping in Atlanta

ATLANTA -- NBC's hit television series, America's Got Talent, is taping live in Atlanta at The Fox Theater, and ALL TICKETS ARE FREE! Join host Nick Cannon and judges Sharon Osbourne, Piers Morgan and Howie Mandel in the studio audience as the country's best singers, dancers, comedians, and performers compete live on national television for a chance to win $1 million.

America's Got Talent is traveling the country and will be in Georgia for THREE DAYS ONLY.  You can come out on April 12, 13, and 14 for 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. arrivals each day.

Art in The Park McDonough Square this Saturday

This Saturday, April 2nd, come and enjoy Art in The Park on the Square in McDonough.  Artist from all venues will be there. It is a fun day from 12n - 5p with free admission.  Try your hand at learning to paint or just enjoy the beauty created by others.  Artist Jeff Hunter said, " We encourage learning, we always have a couple of paint brushes and canvas around."  You maybe surprised at what you can do with a little guidance.

Ming gave her point of view of dating from a woman's perspective as well as a matchmaker's perspective.  As a savvy single woman living in a  city that everybody believes has a lack of 'qualified' and 'date-able' men, particularly of the African-American persuasion, Ming says a woman's best dating arsenal is authentic confidence and keeping an open mind.  Ming shares, "Dating in general is really not complicated at all.  And it's really not that difficult to date in Atlanta.

The Roads are Open; We Have Your Traffic Information at 11Alive.com

All the roads in Metro Atlanta are open today. You need to pack a huge load of patience while you get going though. There are many delays out there. For details on particular routes, check http://11alive.com/traffic.

ALL INTERSTATES & MAIN ROUTES are open.

The left lanes have ice in them. Stay out of those left lanes. Assume that all overpasses have ice on them; many have glaze ice that you will not be able to see until you are on them.

ALL of the on and off ramps have ice in them. Approach them slowly and carefully. If you speed onto an offramp or try to turn suddenly, you will slide and crash.

ARTERIAL/MAIN STREETS --

All have some ice on them. Most with three lanes ordinarily are down to two; most with two lanes regularly, are down to one lane.

Peachtree City issues Red, White, & Blue Challenge for Honor Flight Fayette send-off

Honor Flight Fayette, the non-profit organization created to recognize local World War II Veterans, will host its seventh and final flight to Washington, D.C., on Wednesday, September 15, 2010. The flight will provide another 70 WWII veterans an opportunity to visit their National World War II Memorial. The group will meet at 6:00 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Fayetteville to depart for the airport.


The Challenge: Help show our veterans how much their contribution is appreciated by lining the streets of Fayetteville to see them off. Well-wishers are encouraged to wear red, white, and blue, and wave American Flags along the route (from the church on Hwy 54 to GA 85 north to GA 314 in Fayetteville) for the motorcade, which departs for the airport at 6:30 a.m.
